A sunny 2012 British Grand Prix at Matterley Basin will live long in the memory for the thousands of fans that packed the Winchester slopes and watched Tommy Searle ride to a famous victory and arguably the most outstanding moment for UK motocross this century. It was one of the highpoints in a long and decorated (three times world championship runner-up) career for a reactive and flexible racer who has been one of England’s best in the annals of the sport.
