Massive street spots, powder runs, and natural terrain way out in the backcountry: Charles Reid destroys it all with reckless energy, fluid style, and an eclectic bag of tricks (handplants, anyone?). Hailing from Mont-Tremblant, Quebec, Charles grew up bilingual speaking English and French. But his snowboard talent is definitely all-mountain. As a young buck, Charles cut his teeth skiing on the local mountain at age 3 but made the switch to snowboarding at 5, advancing to competitions when he turned 8. In his teenage years, the snowboard prodigy began claiming slopestyle podiums at major international competitions before representing Canada at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. Recently, the backcountry has taken center stage in Reid’s hammer video parts, including the critically acclaimed ‘Wildcats Never Die’, last part in ‘Cosa Nostra’ (his pro debut on Arbor Snowboards), and 2019’s ‘Who Cares?’ alongside Monster Energy teammates Darcy Sharpe and Jamie Anderson. So what’s next? Charles Reid has scored more magazine covers, contest podiums, and A-list sponsors than most pros on the circuit, but his true focus lies with pushing the boundaries of all-terrain snowboarding wherever the journey may take him. Stay tuned!
