Misano Magic Blue VR46 Pill

Menu di Misano; Back to Misano; VR46’s answer to the Blues Brothers; and now La Doppia di Misano 46mg.

Every year, for his home MotoGP Grand Prix, at the Misano World Circuit, Valentino Rossi collaborates with acclaimed designer Aldo Drudi to create a special AGV helmet livery which he unveils on qualifying day of the weekend. Incorporating fun, traditions, and themes that are unquestionably close to The Doctor’s heart, each design has been more striking than the last.

Proving that the Doctor definitely hasn’t lost his sense of humour - in even the most testing of times - this year’s design features a four-pack of VR46 ‘little blue pills’ to give his racing mojo a little boost over the coming Misano double header…

Complete with unique VR46 themed lot codes, and a best before consumption date. Check out the exclusive detail shots below:

The Misano MotoGP is a special event for Rossi as the circuit is only a handful of miles from his home-town of Tavullia, making this about as close to a ‘home race’ as practicably possible.

Last year’s graphic creation paid homage to the Romagna cuisine that Rossi grew up on; with his signature sun and stars design changed to Piadina flatbread and watermelon slice. Prior to that The Doctor ran graphics featuring Back To The Future references (marking his return to the Misano after being forced to miss the race due to injury), as well as a Blues Brother design in 2016, which displayed Rossi and his best friend Alessio Salucci, aka ‘Uccio’, re-enacting the iconic look of his favourite film.

Naturally Rossi’s pets - two dogs and a cat - are ever present, as well as a turtle, which was Rossi’s first mascot when he raced minimoto as a child. Check out Rossi’s helmets from the past three years. Note that in 2017 Rossi missed Misano due to fracturing his leg in an Enduro accident.
