The need for speed runs in Aaron Plessinger’s blood. Mentored by his father, four-time national motocross champion Scott Plessinger, the young gun from Ohio emerged as a fierce competitor in the GNCC Youth and Amateur ranks. A.P. entered his first GNCC motocross tournament in 2007 – and instantly claimed one of many amateur tournaments wins. After storming the am ranks as a teenager, Plessinger kicked his career into overdrive in 2013 by focusing full-time on racing motocross and supercross. It’s been on ever since: In 2015, Plessinger clinched the AMA Supercross Championship and earned the title Pro Motocross Rookie of the Year. Never letting loose on the gas, he took his plate #23 to more than a dozen championship titles. He practically owned the 2018 season as the back-to-back Lucas Oil Pro Motocross 250 Champion and AMA Supercross 250SX Champion. A heavy wrist injury derailed his 2020 season, but that never stopped one of the hardest working riders in pro racing. Fully recovered, Plessinger recently upped the ante with a third-place finish in the 450 main events at the 51st Annual Daytona Supercross, his first career 450cc podium. What’s next for the Buckeye is anyone’s guess, but it’s safe to say that Aaron Plessinger just keeps getting better and better!
