Monster Energy and Idol Roc Entertainment today announcedthe first edition ofthe OutbreakComedy Tour featuring comedy duo Garfunkel and Oates. In partnership with Live Nation,the“Monster Energy Outbreak Comedy Tour”kicks off in Dallas on August 22ndat the House of Blues and closes out in Boston on December 16th at the Wilbur Theatre. The excursion also includes stops in San Francisco, Houston and Seattle.
Riki Lindhome and Kate Micucci met at the Upright Citizens Brigade theatre in Los Angeles in 2007 and formed Garfunkel and Oates, named after the “two famous rock-and-roll second bananas” Art Garfunkel and John Oates, shortly thereafter. The duo, which regularly performs and tours across the country, were named one of the Top 10 Comics to Watch by Variety. In 2012, Garfunkel and Oates appeared on their first comedy special, “The Half-Hour,” on Comedy Central. Their first two full length albums, “Slippery When Moist” and “All Over Your Face,” both hit #1 on the iTunes comedy charts.Lindhome and Micucci’s new comedy television series “Garfunkel and Oates” will premiere on IFC on Thursday, August 7th at 10:00pm.

Since 2011, the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour has tapped breakthrough talent across multiple music genres, including recent discoveries: Iggy Azaela (Hip Hop 2014), The Chainsmokers (College 2014), Macklemore (Hip Hop 2013), Carnage (EDM 2013), Wale (College 2013), Kendrick Lamar (Hip Hop 2012), and Of Mice and Men (Rock 2011). This year, the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour is expanding the brand to include a Comedy Edition.Monster Energy and Idol Roc Entertainment team up once again with Live Nation to provide the stage for one of comedies most sought after duos.

Tickets will go on-sale to the public on Friday, July 11th at
10 a.m. A special pre-sale will be available between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. on
