The 2nd annual Monster Energy Jossi Wells Invitational is returning to Cardrona Alpine Resort this September, and pro freeskiiers and boarders from all corners of the earth are getting ready to shred on the Monster Big Air Jump. Expect to see the most progressive skiing & boarding, with all the latest tricks thrown down!
Each athlete will get 5 runs, best 2 combined for result. 1st to 3rd place will be awarded in each division, with an additional peer voted MVP award. The 2016 Invitational* went off without a hitch, and Monster Energy’s own James Woods took first place with two switch triple cork 1440s, the latter with an octograb.
The athletes will be throwing down in practice from September 12–13, with qualifiers on Thursday 14 and the finals taking place on Friday September 15. An awards presentation & party are scheduled in Wanaka the night of the finals, and the skate jam at the Wanaka Skate Park is scheduled for Saturday September 16th.
