
Years later, he became a tourist biker guide for a local shop and on his spare time, he and his “Monster 232” buddies continued to build ramps and tracks to practice on. In 2012, he decided to compete in Downhill contests where he became a Junior National Champion. A couple of years later, Ricardo became National Champion in the Elite class and won the “Down Guanajuato”, the second most important urban race in Mexico.
He has been invited to “Downhill Taxco” on five occasions, and on his most recent race he was dubbed the best Mexican rider and won 12th in the overall classification.
He has gotten one National Championship title, two National Downhill second places and one third place in the National Enduro Championship.
