The 17-track album covers a diverse musical range including his usual rock edged harder EDM sounds but contrasted with softer melodic samples and songs with an almost post-punk edge. The latest single to be dropped was “Crash” featuring Jason Aalon Butler of The Fever (formerly of Letlive), a frontman who was voted “Greatest Rockstar in the world today” by Kerrang magazine. Just last month another single titled “Pirates, Punks & Politics” featuring more huge guests in the form of vocals from Perry Farrell (Jane’s Addiction) and writing and recording collaborator, Mötley Crüe’s Tommy Lee.
The list of collaborators goes on and on with extra help coming from deep within the rock world such as Gallows, Anders Friden of In Flames and Deap Vally. There are also appearances from previous TBB collaborator (“Chronicles Of A Fallen Love”) Greta Svabo Bech, known for her angelic vocals, pop’s Eric Nally (Foxy Shazam) and Mr. Talkbox, plus Rival Sons’ Jay Buchanan who takes a twist with the ballad “Nothing But Love.” Also included on the 17-song collection are three THE BLOODY BEETROOTS instrumentals: “The Day Of The Locust,” “10,000 Prophets” and “Saint Bass City Rockers.” When discussing the motivation to use guest vocalists, Sir Bob commented "This is the first time I have used so many vocalists and lyrics in The Bloody Beetroots' music. I chose the greatest vocalists I knew that could help tell the story of about four years of life."
The My Name Is Thunder U.S. tour, named after the first single from The Great Electronic Swindle, kicks off next week in San Diego and accompanying the concerts will be a very unique and exclusive set of fan meet and greet opportunities. Sir Bob, who is heavily interested in fitness and a healthy lifestyle, will host daily bootcamp workouts for fans. He’ll also be giving away gift bags, courtesy of Monster Energy & Muscle Monster.
