Raised by two ultra-runners in the Bay Area, Amity has spent a lifetime chasing long distances. She initially fostered a love for endurance and personal challenge through trail-running, but since switching to bikes four years ago has yet to look back. Her career does not fit into a narrow definition of cycling, she finds herself drawn to events that demand both a strong diesel engine and plenty of skill in both tactics and bike-handling. She has won countless local races throughout California and podium many national gravel events. In 2019 she won gravel’s biggest race, the Dirty Kanza 200, up against a field of World Tour pros and veteran racers. She was 25th overall out of over 1000 racers. As her career grows, she hopes to stack up further results in cycling’s most challenging events. She loves long training rides, getting lost, and overcoming perceived limits. Off the bike, she enjoys baking sourdough bread, making art, running, rock climbing, and coffee.
