Poland's rally legend and motorsport icon, Krzysztof 'Hołek' Hołowczyc reached the pinnacle of his glittering career in 2015 when he became the first Polish driver to podium at the Dakar Rally in the car category. Hołek started professional rallying in the mid 80s, taking part in numerous Polish, European and World Rally Championship events. After many seasons spent in flatland rallies, Hołowczyc went more off-road and took part in 10 editions of the Dakar Rally. His latest motorsport passion, though, is rallycross. In 2015 Hołowczyc made his debut in the FIA World Rallycross Championship series and having successfully competed in selected events of the RX Lites class, Hołek's decided to step up to the Supercar category from the 2016 season. Hołowczyc racked up multiple Polish national rally titles as well as Baja successes and is a hugely popular figure wherever he goes. He is a big fan of rock music and attends every Speedway Grand Prix event held in Poland where the fans go wild to get a glimpse of their hero.
