Garth Tander is a legend of Australian Motorsport. He dominated Karting, and Formula Ford in the mid 90’s before been snatched up to compete in the coveted V8 Supercars Championship in 1998. Joining the HSV Dealer team in 2005, Garth continued to hone his skills before taking his first championship win in 2007, beating rival Jamie Whincup by just 2 points – the narrowest margin in V8 Supercar history! Garth joined the Holden factory team in 2008, partnering with Mark Skaife, in his last full time season. In 2011, Garth became King of the Mountain, when he teamed up with Nick Percat at Bathurst. The victory was hard fought, as any fan of the Bathurst 1000 knows. James Courtney joined Garth at the Holden factory team in 2011, where they have both continued to triumph for the last 5 years, and hopefully many more.
