Regarded as one of the best Australian driver’s on the planet, James Courtney aka “JC” is the only Australian driver to ever win two world karting titles, beating the world’s best, including Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg back in 1995 & 1997. JC was close to breaking into Formula One when he had a horrific high speed (308kmh) crash while testing at Monza in 2002 with the Jaguar Formula One team. The crash left him with multiple injuries and out of racing for nearly a year. JC has since continued his winning ways, dominating many international Championships including breaking the winning record for most British Formula Ford races in one season in 2000, before impressively winning on debut in F3 in 2001 and then dominating the All-Japan Formula Three Championship in 2003. After a successful career in open wheelers, JC moved onto the premier touring car Championship in Japan, before being poached for the illustrious V8 Supercars Championship in 2005. JC won the V8 Supercars Championship in 2010 and is closely fighting for the title in 2015 for the Holden Racing Team. Renowned for his never say die and take no prisoners approach to racing, he is never one to shy away from saying what he thinks or his opponents. This baby-faced assassin is universally loved by all Australian motorsport fans and respected by all international drivers’ he’s come up against.
