The Prince. A nickname given to fy that symbolizes the expectations that have been placed upon him as well as the trust everyone has in his abilities. He is the Prince because Burning is known as the Emperor both in China and abroad and the Emperor needs a successor. With Burning’s seat being vacant, fy has the strongest claim to the throne.
While Burning remains a symbol of Chinese Dota, in actual fact fy’s results in Dota 2 have already far surpassed him. While Burning achieved two 4th place finishes at TI, fy has already secured himself two grand finals appearances, with the last coming at TI8, narrowly missing out on having his name etched on the Aegis.
More than that PSG.LGD’s performance with fy leading the way has been perhaps the most consistent showing that a Chinese team has ever had. This year alone while they have not won a Major, they also have not placed below 5th/6th even once. While some teams have meteoric rises only to quickly vanish after a new patch comes out, PSG.LGD remains a constant. While mechanics, heroes, and items constantly change, PSG.LGD was able to take it all in stride and continue to compete at the highest level.
