Monster Energy Supercross 2012, Helsinki

 

During the Weekend, 3rd-4th February 2012, at the Helsinki Fair Centre a get-together of well known Finnish and international riders competed at the Monster Energy Supercross. The course was challenging, but the same for everyone, so no need for explaining. Friday´s race was won by Belgian Jurge Wybo. In second place, Monster rider Florent Richier, and in third place Fabian Izoird. The best Finnish rider on Friday was Jonas Heimonen who finished in sixth place.

 

On Saturday it was a mighty French victory in the finale, Michael Musquin was in first place and Khounsith Vongsanaa took second place. The French day was crowned by Fabian Izoird finnish in third place and the overall victory of the King of Helsinki title. Best Finnish rider Niko Koskela, a memeber of Kimi Räikkönen Ice1Racing team. Infortunately in the end he was not able to finnish the race.

 

At the Supercross arena a show-natured KTM Enduro race was also held. The winner, Monster Energy´s Matti Seistola. Other unforgetable performances by Jari Mattila, in second place and third place Lauri Pohjonen crowned the spectacular event.
