MONSTER ENERGY´S JOSSI WELLS SCORES THE BRONZE IN SKI BIG AIR AT WINTER X GAMES 2012
January 29, 2011 – Aspen, CO – 21-year-old Monster Energy athlete Jossi Wells took bronze in Ski Big Air tonight at Winter X Games 2012. After pulling a switch double cork 1260 and scoring a 39 and 44 for a combined score of 83 he was able to lock in a podium finish.
With the results based on the two highest scores a skier could achieve, the five skiers in the finals were all hungry for the win. The Ski Big Air event sees the worlds best freeskiers throwing down over a huge 80-foot step-up jump in a jam-style format.
An extremely versatile and talented rider, Wells is one of the best freeskiers on the planet. He is one of the few X Games athletes who competes in multiple events at Winter X; this year he’s competed in Big Air, Slopestyle and SuperPipe. Tonight’s bronze is the third career medal for the Wanaka, New Zealand native.
