Monster Energy Racers Kick Off FIM World Supercross in Buenos Aires

Published On: 11/7/2025

Haiden Deegan debuts on the YZ450F as Monster Energy-backed riders storm Argentina for the WSX opener.

Riding the momentum of the world’s premier stadium off-road motorcycle racing series – Monster Energy AMA Supercross – FIM’s World Supercross Championship (WSX) is set to open its five round series this Saturday in Buenos Aries, Argentina, and a number of Monster Energy’s top racers are set to boot up and be in the gate at Oscar & Juan Galvez’ Racetrack, site of the WSX opener.

The most notable Monster Energy figure in attendance will of course be Haiden Deegan (Star Racing/Yamaha). The multi-time MX/SX/SMX champion will be moving up from the support 250 class to contest the 450, or “SX1” class, at the World Supercross opener.

“I feel like, coming into the pro ranks, everyone was kind of doubting me,” said Deegan. “I figured out how to start winning in the 250 class. I know the 450 class is going to be hard, but I feel like I’ve got a great team around me and I’m so immensely strong and want to work hard that I don’t see it being a huge problem.”

...

Joining Deegan in the premier class SX1 gate at Buenos Aries will be one of his Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha teammates – defending Monster Energy AMA Supercross 450 class podium placer (3rd) Justin Cooper. Note: Both Deegan and Cooper are considered “Wildcard” entries in that they’ll only be contesting two of the five rounds – Buenos Aries and Australia for Deegan, Buenos Aries and Canada for Cooper. Defending Monster Energy AMA Supercross champion Cooper Webb (Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha) will contest the Nov. 19th WSX round in Australia.

...

Contesting the full five round World SX series and running the M-claw logo will be a couple more familiar faces to the Monster Energy AMA Supercross tour scene – Jason Anderson and Justin Hill. Anderson, who parted ways with the Monster Energy/Kawasaki factory team earlier this year, will be aboard the Pipes Motorsport Group Suzuki RMZ450, while Hill will make the jump from Tedder/KTM to the Europe-based Venum Bud Racing Kawasaki team.

...

In SX2 support class racing Monster Energy’s Max Anstie, who competed this past season with the Star Racing/Yamaha program, will be contesting the entire World SX series with Team GSM, powered by Star Racing. Anstie was one of only three racers to score a World SX SX2 race win in 2024.

...

Also running the Monster Energy colors for the entire series will be an interesting entry in Jorge Zaragoza. The Spanish veteran racer and test rider will compete in the SX1 class aboard the revolutionary Stark VARG electric bike – in the same gate as the four-stroke combustion bikes. Zaragoza, who’s MXGP career was derailed by injury, picked back up with the fledgling e-bike race scene, winning the recent FIM E-Xplorer championship.
