Germany
Growing up in the shadow of a world-famous older sibling can be daunting. But in the case of upcoming German ripper Annika Morgan, it can also make you tough as nails. The younger sister of all-round talent Ethan Morgan has made a name for herself by charging hard on the contest circuit and cranking out heavy street footage whenever she gets the chance. Gifted with skate-inspired style and not afraid to take a slam, Annika has earned a spot on the coveted German national snowboard team for a good reason: She can get tech on the rails and throw down big airs in any stance – even in pressure cooker contest scenarios. In 2019, the all-terrain ripper claimed the Slopestyle win on the 2019 World Rookie Tour as well as second place in the Big Air Junior World Champs. In early 2020, Annika didn’t let a destroyed tailbone sidetrack her from taking Big Air silver in the 2020 Youth Olympic Games and is already gunning for the ‘real’ Olympics in 2022. What happens until then is anyone’s guess, but Annika Morgan has officially arrived, and freestyle snowboarding will never be the same.
