If ever there was a rider on the very cusp of greatness then surely it is Fabio Quartararo. Hailing from Nice in Southern France, the son of a former French 125cc motorcycle champion, Fabio cut his teeth in motocross at a very young age before before moving to Spain with his family aged seven. From there he quickly progressed through the Pre-GP Mediterranean ranks, counting off the championships with nonchalant ease. Further titles quickly followed as he won six Spanish championships, including consecutive CEV Moto3 titles in 2013 and 2014. In only his first year of premier class racing, in 2019, Fabio scored an impressive seven podiums from 19 starts with the Petronas Yamaha SRT team. What’s more next season - in 2021 - the French ace is set to replace none other than Valentino Rossi at the factory Yamaha racing team. We mean it, when we say it; watch this space.
