Call of Duty Black Ops 7 is underway, which means it’s time for our pros to bring you the best builds in the game in another Monster Meta update! This time around, we called in the back-to-back Call of Duty League World Champion, Shotzzy, to help get you up to speed. If you want to play like the Warlord himself, pay close attention to what he’s cooked up this year.
He’s not alone, either. We’ve also got Symfuhny on board to help bring us up to speed on the most important weapon in the game. Without further ado, here are the two best loadouts in Black Ops 7, along with some timely advice on how to get the most out of them.
Shotzzy’s Black Ops 7 Dravec .45 Loadout
- Hawker Hybrid Muzzle
- 14” Verse Barrel
- Frontgate Fast Loader Magazine
- Herald-Z1 Grip
- EAM Heritage Stock
It’s an Assault Rifle world in the upper echelon of Black Ops 7. SMG players have to be like ghosts in the wind in order to have as much of an impact as their long-range counterparts. The Dravec .45 shines in this role.
Shotzzy’s build provides the perfect mix of mobility and accuracy, opening up a whole world of play-making possibilities. Of course, he’s the king of movement in Call of Duty, so it’s no surprise that his build is focused on enhancing mobility. The Herald-Z1 Grip, EAM Heritage Stock, Frontgate Mag, and Hawker Hybrid Muzzle all work in concert to speed up your gameplay. The 14” Verse Barrel adds a little extra firepower to the mix, making it easier to win gunfights at longer ranges.
Playing The Map
There’s no better weapon choice for smaller maps or for close-range engagements like the ones you’ll find in Raid’s Kitchen or Cortex’s VAT Chamber. Maximize the gun’s potential by staying on the move, using omnimovement and wall jumping to change the angles you challenge from after every kill. Staying elusive is the most important part of this approach — the Dravec is no match for the Mod 0, even in medium-range gunfights, so getting caught out means it’s game over.
Only bring out the Dravec if you know you’re taking a short route, contesting a close-quarters Hardpoint, or otherwise need to make a play as fast as possible. Otherwise, you’ll be fighting for your life against a sea of Assault Rifle players more often than not.
If all the long-range gunfights are getting too oppressive, don’t be afraid to take it back to basics. Slip into a corner, go prone in an unexpected place, and make the enemies react to you. Your ADS speed will clear almost every gun in the game, so having even a split second head start over your target should guarantee a few free eliminations per map.
Symfuhny’s M15 Mod 0 AR Loadout
- Lethal Tools ELO Sight
- VAS 5.56 Suppressor
- 5” Fusion Barrel
- Ironhold Angled Grip
- Mayday Extended Magazine
- Contour Grip
- Intervention Stock
- Buffer Spring
Symfuhny’s M15 AR is the epitome of consistent performance. Assault Rifles are strong in Black Ops 7, but none are stronger than this beast. Strict SBMM might be a thing of the past, but you’ll still be at a massive disadvantage by using any other gun right now.
Gunfighter is a game-changer on this build. Not only do you get the stopping power of an AR, but the in-game feel is closer to an SMG. The VAS 5.56 Suppressor will keep you off the mini-map when you shoot, allowing you to be an absolute menace as you navigate between chokepoints.
Ironhold Angled Grip, Contour Grip, and Buffer Spring each make the gun easier to shoot, which is where it really outshines the other ARs. You’ll get plenty of added damage from the 16.5” Fusion Barrel, thanks to its boost to Damage Range and Bullet Velocity, too. The Mayday Extended Magazine ups the mag size to 45 bullets, adding a little extra insurance when you’re taking on more than one opponent at a time.
Competitive players will want to swap the suppressor for a Redwell 5.56 Compensator to stay within the rules; otherwise, this build can be adapted for public matches and tournament play alike.
Playing The Map
The Mod 0’s weaknesses are few and far between. A slower Sprint-to-Fire speed than the Dravec. 45 might be the only thing keeping SMGs viable at all for competitive players, but even the pros are hesitant to use anything other than this beast. Still, positioning can make or break your performance even with the best gun in the game.
Take advantage of power positions like Scar’s Top Fire or the Laundry/Art buildings on Raid to really make this beast shine. Collect a wave of kills, reposition to the next headglitch, and repeat. It’s as simple as that.
If you’re getting caught sprinting more than usual this year, don’t forget how effective wall jumping can be to change your angle of approach or to tuck your tail and live to fight another day. Even Assault Rifle players should be ready to hit a wall bounce to catch enemies off guard, or to check risky angles from much safer positions. Every map has at least a few spots where a timely jump peek can make all the difference.
That’s all we have for you this time around. Keep your eyes on the official Monster social media pages for more updates throughout the year, and happy hunting!
