Back on the SGP box! Patryk Dudek races to a 2nd place finish at Lodz (Poland) Triple Crown
The lone racer competing on the FIM Speedway Grand Prix circuit podiums and moves up into the Top 5 in the overall season SGP points
Round 7 of the 2026 FIM Speedway Grand Prix series returned to Poland for a first time race in Lodz on Saturday - the GP of Poland – Lodz. And following a massive Monster Energy-led “Urban Takeover” on Friday in Poland’s fourth largest city, some 9,900 fans packed the new purpose-built race track, home to Polish Speedway First League’s Orzel Lodz, to cheer on homeboy – Monster Energy’s Patryk Dudek – to a podium 2nd place finish at the second installment in the Monster Energy Triple Crown format.
Poland’s European Champion Dudek was on it from the start, scoring a season-high 18 points throughout the day and evening programs, which vaulted him from 9th overall into the top five (5th).

“I had a tough start to the season, but I think I am back,” said Dudek, Monster Energy’s lone SGP competitor with Dan Bewley, Jack Holder and Freddie Lindgren all sidelined with injuries. “This day for me was great. It was a beautiful day, and I hope it will be the same next week.”
Dudek opened the competition at Lodz with back-to-back victories in Heats 4 & 5, then added another three-point win in Heat 12 to transfer to the main. All totaled Dudek’s 18 points gives him 69 points on the season, and a position – with momentum – in the series’ top five overall.

“I get these points today and I am closer to stay in the top seven,” he said, regarding securing an invite to the 2027 SGP season. “Same plan at Riga (SGP’s next round).”

In addition to Monster Energy’s Urban Takeover of Lodz on Friday, which included Monster Energy-backed athlete special appearances and autograph sessions, Saturday’s Monster Energy Fan Zone & Rig Riot at Moto Arena was a massive hit, which carried the momentum from the streets to the stadium. High flying FMX shows and appearances by the Monster Energy Girls elevated the excitement level – which came to a crescendo with the customary Rig Riot burnout. Dudek then put a main event podium exclamation point on first ever SGP race day at Lodz.
