Fast Freddie Lindgren races to a podium silver medal at Poland’s FIM Speedway GP
“Fast” Freddie Lindgren stepped it up for the second straight week on the FIM Speedway Grand Prix circuit, scoring another podium position with a solid 2nd place run at the DeWalt FIM Speedway GP of Poland – Wroclaw.
With the 18-point Wroclaw effort the Swedish great also jumped up to 2nd place in the overall season standings behind Poland’s Bartosz Zmarzlik.
“Started of very well, with a win and a second (place), so it went very well,” said Lindgren. “I had gate three (pick) a couple of times, which was pretty tough. But I managed to get a few points there. Track was good. Lot of dirt on the outside and I was riding really wide a couple of times, but was carrying speed and passing a lot of guys.”

Joining Lindgren in the top five for Monster Energy was Wroclaw Wild Card selection Patryk Dudek. Racing his first FIM Speedway GP of the year, the Polish racer ran well in the heats, but was just a click away from making the Finals.
“When you race in the semifinal, and are close to racing the final, I’m now feeling a little bit angry because it was close,” said Dudek. “But I give 100 percent.”

And rounding out the top ten in scoring for Monster Energy at Wroclaw was last weekend’s hero at Cardiff, Dan Bewley, in 6th position.
“First two races weren’t ideal. Changed the bike and got two (heat) wins,” said Bewley. “So we were second for a bit, then third… then I had a chain break and that threw us off. Sixth on the night, not so good, but not terrible.”
