England’s Todd Kellet emerges victorious at the 47th edition of the infamous Enduropale du Touquet, this all just weeks after claiming the 2023 French Beach Race Championship and now the first round of the inaugural FIM Sand Races World Cup. Kellet has now successfully engraved his name on the highly coveted Le Touquet trophy that has eluded him until now.

The Drag’on Tek Yamaha Monster Energy rider is currently widening the gap at being hailed as one of the world’s leading sand track specialists and after narrowly missing a win at Le Touquet in recent years, this stands as a massive victory to take home for Kellet and his team.

Said to be one of the toughest beach races on the planet, the Enduropale du Touquet is hosted across the beaches of Le Touquet and Stella-Plage in northern France. The 2023 edition saw 1300 racers taking on the 13km course in front of an incredible 350,000 spectators.

Kellet began the 3-hour sand racing epic as one of the clear favourites, storming into the lead from the first lap, followed closely by team-mate and reigning champ Milko Potisek, until a few laps later which unfortunately saw Potisek retiring the race early due to a mechanical issue, this seemingly left Kellet in absolute control as he comfortably raced on to victory at an incredible pace.

Clocking in a total of 16 laps and coming in just over two and a half minutes in front of Belgium’s Cyril Genot. The Le Touquet victory crowns Kellet ‘Champion de France des Sables’, now gaining him an early lead in the overall 2023 FIM Sand Races World Cup.

“I am absolutely over the moon to get this win and especially to be in the lead of the FIM Sand Races World Cup,” said Kellett. “I have worked so hard for the last five years for this and I can’t thank my team enough. This is the best race in the world.”

A huge congratulations to Todd and his team on the great achievement.
