Straight of Belgium! In a freestyle motocross world dominated by Australians, Americans, and Japanese riders, Julien Vanstippen is sending shocks to the system as a world-class athlete with European origins. Hailing from Ophain, Belgium, he started out as a motorbike racer fueled by an intense need for speed. Until one day, he realized that his stylishly contorted ‘whip’ aerials were actually pretty good. Like, international contest-level good! At X Games Japan 2022, he barged into the spotlight by claiming Best Whip bronze as a rookie. Then, on Belgium’s National Day in 2022, he clinched the gold medal in Moto X Best Whip at X Games California. He was the first rider from Belgium ever to claim gold in an X Games. Since that day, Julien has kept the wins coming with titles including back-to-back victories in 2022 and 2023 in King of the Whip in South Africa. With his effortless style and humble personality, he’s not only been an inspiration to a new generation of riders but also living proof that insane Moto X talent can rise from anywhere in the world!
