Monster Energy Riders Deliver Standout Results at 2026 Motocross of Nations
MXGP World Champion Jeffrey Herlings celebrates after sweeping the Open class with a perfect 1-1 performance for Team Netherlands at the 2026 FIM Motocross of Nations in Ernee, France.

Each year right around this time, for the past 79 years, the world’s top motocross racers - three each representing some 32 nations - gather for the annual Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations. And this year Monster Energy’s Jeffrey Herlings (Honda), the recently crowned FIM World MX Championship MXGP class champion, stepped up and dominated the field in the premier Open class, going 1-1 at the Raymond Demy Circuit in Ernee, France, to lead his country – The Netherlands – to a podium 3rd place finish in the race for the coveted Chamberlain Cup.
“It was very nice to race up next to (Jorge) Prado, (Sacha) Coenen and all the heavy hitters,” said Herlings.
Also scoring key points for The Netherlands was Monster Energy’s Glenn Coldenhoff (Yamaha). The MX2 class racer went 9-14 on the day.
Herlings was joined at the top of the performance charts by Monster Energy’s Romain Febvre (Kawasaki), who won the opening race in the MXGP + MX2 class, then put up a podium 3rd place finish in Race 3 (MXGP + MX2) to lead France (10th).
“To win a race at Nations is just crazy and I am living that moment,” said Febvre following his opening MXGP + MX2 race win.
A couple clicks back of The Netherlands in 5th place overall were the Americans, with newly minted MX Nationals 250 class champ Levi Kitchen leading the scoring for USA in the MX2 class. Kitchen would have his opening race scrubbed (25th, due to a crash) and managed a 14th place finish in Race 2 for some key points for Team USA.
And sandwiched between USA and The Netherlands, in 4th place, was Team Latvia. Monster Energy’s Reisulis brothers (Yamaha) – Karlis Alberts and Janis Martins – led the Latvians with solid performances in MXGP (Karlis) and MX2 (Janis).
