Monster Energy Showcases Elite Talent at 2025 AMA Amateur Motocross Championship

Published On: 7/28/2025

From rising stars to future pros—Monster Energy’s top amateur racers take on Loretta Lynn’s Ranch.

Monster Energy’s top amateur motocross racers – the best of the best from regions representing all of the United States – converge on famed country & western signer Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tenn., for the 44th annual running of the Monster Energy AMA Amateur Motocross Championship, presented by AMSOIL, this week.

Riding on the coattails of an incredible 2024 “Loretta’s,” which saw Monster Energy-backed racers win an unprecedented 13 individual championships, eight runner-up positions and 28 overall podium places, this year’s crew of Monster Energy-branded racers is set to meet those lofty numbers – and, if all goes as planned, even improve on them.

...

Graduating with top honors from Monster Energy’s 2024 amateur youth program and into the pro ranks with Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki, was Drew Adams. Adams swept both the 2024 Open Pro Sport and 250 Pro Sport titles last summer, enroute to the AMA’s most prestigious honor for an amateur motocross racer – the Nicky Hayden Horizon Award.

This week, leading Monster Energy into the two aforementioned premier class (Open Pro & 250 Pro) battles will be Landen Gordon (Team Green/Kawasaki), who finished 2nd overall last year in 250 B and Schoolboy 2 – the preamble classes to Loretta’s newly turned Pro division. Monster Energy-backed Enzo Temmerman (Team Green/Kawasaki), who overcame a number of severe injuries to contest the Monster Energy AMA Supercross’ SMX Next division this year (winning the Birmingham, Ala., round) and recently placing in the top 15 at the Washougal (Wash.) MX National, will also be one to watch in the Pro classes, as will Leum Oehlhof (Honda), son of former AMA SX/MX pro racer Joe Oehlhof, who placed 3rd in Loretta’s Open Pro Sport class last summer.

...

Other Monster Energy-backed Loretta’s premier Pro class racers to keep an eye on include; Diesel Thomas (Husqvarna), who swept the 450 B and 450 B Limited classes last summer. Luke Fauser (KTM), Klark Robbins (Gas Gas), Kade Johnson (Yamaha) and Jonathan Getz (Husqvarna) are some other M-claw running names that will challenge for PRO class podium positions.

In the ‘up next’ class in terms of top amateur soon-to-be-pro MX racers, the 250 B class and Schoolboy 2 classes, Monster Energy is stacked with talent, including Team Green/Kawasaki’s Vincent Wey, son of longtime AMA SX/MX pro racer Nick Wey, former 65cc Loretta’s champ Carson Wood (Yamaha), defending 250 B Limited champ Grayson Townsend (Honda) and former Supermini 1 champ Deacon Denno (KTM). Joining the lead crew with solid shots a podium finishes is Owen Covell (Yamaha), who won the Schoolboy 1 and 125 Jr. B/C titles last year.

And in the women/girls divisions, Monster Energy is proud to back defending WMX class champion Kyleigh Stallings (Team Green/Kawasaki), along with Mayla Herrick (KTM), who’s contesting both the WMX and Girls 11-16 classes.
