SoCal native Hailie Deegan is a motorsports’ Swiss army knife, with significant experience that has prepared her to become one of the more prominent and exciting young female riders to emerge in NASCAR’s Xfinity Series. Carrying the Deegan name and its longstanding family legacy—both her father and brother being pro motocross champions—the sport has always been part of her life. Experimenting with motorcycles, ATVs, go-karts, and high-octane SuperTrucks, she has always been surrounded by the roar of engines and competition crowds. Hailie jumped behind a steering wheel at just eight years old and has been following her dad since day one. In 2013, she became the first female driver to clinch a LOORRS championship by winning the Junior 2 Karts class. Two years later, she went on to become the Modified Kart Regional Champion, and in 2016, she was named the Lucas Oil Off Road Driver of the Year. Throughout her career, she also became the first woman to win races in the Series West, landing victories two consecutive years, the second female driver in history to win a NASCAR touring race. Now, following three seasons in the Craftsman Truck Series, Hailie has moved to Xfinity competition series and continues to make her mark on the circuit as an aggressive yet clearly talented rider.
