One of the hardest hitters in the game! Hailing from the Amazonas region of Brazil, Alessandro Costa has taken professional mixed martial arts (MMA) by storm with a talent for unpredictable finishes and explosive knockout power. He first started training to escape negative influences growing up in Manaus and put everything on the line to pursue his dream of becoming a professional MMA fighter. At age 19, he left behind his home and moved to Mexico, first working as gardener and garbageman to chase his aspirations – and it paid off! Costa broke into the spotlight on Season 6 of Dana White's Contender Series and soon after made his UFC debut in 2022. Since then, he's been shaking up the flyweight division as a fighter who can hold his own against top-tier athletes as a rising contender. Early on in his UFC career, Costa earned Performance of the Night bonuses for knockout victories over Jimmy Flick and Kevin Borjas – and keeps the hits coming as a certified knockout artist with a growing number of TKOs under his belt. Training with Monster Energy teammate and top contender Diego Lopes, with whom he cofounded the Brazilian Warriors gym in Puebla, Mexico, he's a lifelong student of MMA and always eager to improve his lethal skillset.
