Best of both worlds! Born and raised in the Netherlands, Reinier de Ridder (RdR) combines the analytical mind of a calculated fighter with overpowering physical strength. Always staying one step ahead of his opponents, he knows exactly when to wait and brace for impact, and when to strike on the strength of his unique fighting IQ. That's because, from a young age, he built his grappling foundation in judo (since age 5) and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, reaching black-belt status in both. It's a lethal combination paired with de Ridder's high-impact striking and superior reach thanks to his tall frame. At 6 feet, 4 inches, he towers over his opponents, earning him "The Dutch Knight" as a nickname. Before making his debut in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in 2024, he headlined fights as a simultaneous middleweight and light heavyweight World Champion in the ONE Championship promotion. After shaking up the UFC's middleweight division with bonus-winning performances, Reinier de Ridder announced he's moving up to light heavyweight: "I'm coming at 205, baby!" Stay tuned as the legend of The Dutch Knight continues!
