Hirie, a charming singer-songwriter from Hawaii, skillfully combined her diverse cultural background to breathe life into a one-of-a-kind, pop-infused form of reggae music in the mid-2010s. Her album, Wandering Soul, made quite the splash with its abundance of positivity and exceptional musicianship. Accompanied by her talented six-member band, she continued to shine with her follow-up record, Dreamer, delivering a range of sound from relaxed reggae to ska-infused rhythms. Growing up in Oahu, which she fondly considers her "spiritual home," where reggae dominates local radio stations, Hirie developed a deep love for the genre and embraced its surrounding culture.
