"Monster Matt" as he is known on social media, has been racing in the desert since the age of 4. He began his desert racing career aboard motorcycles and was a member of the Factory Husqvarna Off Road team from 1999 to 2005. In 2015, Matt transitioned to UTV desert racing and became a member of a factory team in 2017. Since starting to race in the Best In The Desert and SCORE racing series, Matt has made a steady climb to the top in the Pro UTV ranks.

Leading Monster Energy on this final stage of the 2025 Dakar Rally were Sara Price (Can-Am Factory Team), who won her second-straight SSV stage, and Adrien Van Beveren (Honda HRC Rally), who placed 2nd in the motorcycle class.
Monster Energy athletes podium in respective classes in the fog delayed/shortened Round 11 of the 2025 Dakar Rally. Tosha Schareina (Monster Energy/Honda HRC Rally) captured top honors in the motorcycle division aboard his CRF 450 Rally, while Sara Price (Can-Am Factory Team), along with her co-driver Sean Berriman, won in their Maverick R.
A ‘Cat & Mouse’ stage could best describe Stage 10 of the 2025 Dakar Rally, Round 1 of the FIM World Rally-Raid Championship. Back marker privateer names populated the podium however, Schareina and Van Beveren kept their overall 2nd and 3rd place standing.
