In the winter months, Elam has become one of the key drivers of snowmobile progression, raising the bar ever since the discipline became official Winter X Games programming.
The key to success? Years of backcountry riding and snocross racing provided Elam with an intuitive level of sled control. With effortless ease, the Idaho native translates freestyle stunts from relatively lightweight dirtbikes to the 400-pound snow sleds used in freestyle snowmobile contests. He won a bronze medal in Snowmobile Speed & Style at X Games Aspen 2018, followed by a bronze medal in Snowmobile Freestyle at X Games Aspen 2020. Back in action, Elam continues to push progression and has his eyes on the top step of the podium.
