The sunny seaside town of La Jolla, California, is mostly known as a hotbed for surf and skateboard talent. Not necessarily snowboarding. But it's exactly his passion for riding waves and concrete that makes Judd Henkes one of the most versatile snowboarders of his generation. After picking up snowboarding at age 4, he would spend winters shredding the legendary snow park at Mammoth Mountain while hitting the waves and skate parks during the summer. After developing a well-rounded style beyond his years, Judd began shaking up the contest scene at age 14 with an upset fifth-place finish in Halfpipe at the 2016 Burton U.S. Open. One year later, he was invited to join the U.S. Snowboard Team and expanded his focus to Slopestyle and Big Air under the mentorship of U.S. Snowboarding Coach, Dave Reynolds. Soon enough, Judd emerged as a podium threat across these disciplines and earning top spots in key competitions as a young pro ever since. But despite all the invites to big-ticket events, Judd most of all just wants to ride – whether it's on snow, water, or park terrain. Amazing tricks will follow naturally, the rest of us just need to watch closely!
