Stylish, powerful, and not afraid to take a slam: Colombia’s Jazmin Alvarez is stepping on the world stage with a massive bag of street tricks and tons of positive energy. As the repeat Colombian women’s street skateboarding champion, she’s been inspiring young female riders in Medellin and beyond for years. After taking podium spots in the South American Games, Jazmin was ready for the next level: In 2022, she set her eyes on representing Colombia in the Olympics and began competing the World Skateboarding Tour with support from IOC’s Youth Athlete Development initiative. She’s touring the world – from Dubai to Rome all the way to Shanghai – to make her dream reality. Jazmin also garnered a spot to compete in the X Games, the world’s biggest showcase in action sports, so her inspiring blend of street skating will reach audiences across the globe.
